members of First & Summerfield Church who serve D.E.S.K. evening meals every Tuesday; and members of North Haven Congregational Church who serve D.E.S.K. evening meals on the first and third Thursday of every month.
Soups, and more!
The Soup Night will feature soups from a number of New Haven eateries, including Clark's Dairy and Restaurant, Stillwater American Bistro, Claire's Corner Copia, and Archie Moore's Bar and Restaurant. A soup contributed by D.E.S.K.’s Director of Operations and chef, Jeanne Marie May, will also be among those served.
Delectable hors d'oeuvres, savory soups, and delicious salads will be created for the occasion by the D.E.S.K. Board and staff, and there will be a variety of breads and desserts with selected wines and beverages.
Hospitality
The soup will be served by the Public Service Committee of the New Haven County Bar Association, with a special blessing given by The Rev. Dr. Sandra L. Olsen, Pastor of Center Church on the Green. Guests will be entertained by the music of Live Jazz and Eric Meridian.
